Starting with the actual character, I see that the whole body is amazingly shaded, but them there is this awkward area around her arm that has sort of a color bleed. Another thing that I saw was that her arm is a little too long. Other than that, the character is perfect!
Now, onto the back ground. I think the color that you chose complimented the character perfectly. Since the back ground is dark, the eye naturally goes to the brightest area. I also like how the scarf sort of merges with the sky.
